Earlier this year I wrote about the veiled death threat I received at the end of 2024 - I didn't take it very seriously, particularly as I had a feeling I knew who made it at the time. Obviously I made a few people aware of the identity of individual I suspected and the reasons why (more on that later).

Sadly that wasn't an isolated event. Over the last 9 months I've continued to receive messages annonymously and openly from people who for whatever reason have made me a target.

But recently I found out that one of our old instagram accounts had been taken over by someone else - this account belonged to Redpath Media which was part of Venntro's advertising business - now however it had quite a different profile:

Notice the reference to a hamster, coffee and teeth - a recurring rodent theme referencing my caffeinated habit - see the original message I received on this theme at https://www.reformedentrepreneur.com/a-new-years-eve-death-threat-to-end-2024/ - clearly a very similar description.

When I received the first message about this, the IP address matched the location where I knew a particular individual lived. In addition, within hours of receiving this message I was notified that a celebrity influencer very close to this individual had looked at my profile on Linkedin for the first time ever. Curious.

So I was pretty sure I knew who had taken over the old Redpath Instagram account - however the damning evidence was clear when I realised that they were using their own email address and phone number for the account recovery - and given I had worked with this individual for many years, I knew their email address and phone number:

And these are the details of the individual who I suspected of the original message to me on linkedin and continued abuse - I've hidden the full number and name for obvious reasons.

The guy behind this lost a legal dispute to us a few years ago and is no doubt revelling in the failure of my old business and the challenges it's caused.

They've also a well established Entrepreneur, shortlisted in a number of awards including the Great British Entreprenuer Awards in previous years.

I hope this abuse will now stop - enough people have suffered here and it's in nobody's interest to continue this abuse.
