The views and opinions expressed in this post are my own and do not reflect those of any business, its directors, or employees.

If you haven’t done so already, please make sure you’ve read Acts I, II and III of the story of what happened after Venntro went into administration.

Moving Forward

I remain committed to doing right by those who were heavily impacted by Venntro’s administration.

The path has been harder than I anticipated due to these challenges and the events that I have described, but I believe we will reach a resolution and achieve our goals.

In addition to leading NewCo, I’m collaborating with co-founders on new ventures and consulting for online dating companies.

I hope others can learn from both my successes and my mistakes.

Final Thoughts - time to get my pants on

I understand some may choose to disbelieve my version of events - so much has been said by others in the months following Venntro’s administration.

To share a quote attributed to Churchill:

“A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on”

I have clearly been slow to get my pants on.

However, the continued attacks against us necessitate me publicly sharing my perspective on events.

The details I’ve shared are based on my personal experiences, supported by documentation and correspondence I’ve kept throughout this process. I’ve also shared key points with colleagues who can corroborate my account and were witnesses to what occurred.

While I recognise the risks of sharing my story, I also believe it’s important to counter false narratives and expose what I see as harmful actions.

My aim has always been to rebuild from the ashes of Venntro with integrity and resilience.

Relentless Resilience was a core value at Venntro, and it remains central to everything I do.

As the quote on my office wall says:

"It’s not about how hard you hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward."

That is exactly what we intend to do.

A New Chapter at NewCo

At NewCo, we now have a small but truly exceptional team.

Their dedication and creativity inspire me every day, and I feel incredibly fortunate to work alongside them.

More than anyone, my partner and fellow Director has been a constant source of strength and encouragement over the past six months.

He has been my guiding light, my unwavering hope, and, like Mickey Goldmill in Rocky, the one who pushes me to keep fighting for what I believe in.

The vision for NewCo extends far beyond dating.

I see a tremendous opportunity ahead to build something meaningful and impactful.

From the lessons learned and the foundations laid, I’m confident we can create a business that not only thrives but also makes amends for the past and delivers value to everyone involved.

Learning from the Past, Building for the Future

Entrepreneurship is a journey of highs and lows.

While I’ve achieved some successes along the way, I’ve also made significant mistakes, and ultimately, my first large business didn’t succeed.

But failure is not the end; it’s a beginning.

I had considered naming this blog “The Failed Entrepreneur”, to own my missteps and reflect on the lessons they’ve taught me.

But I’ve come to realise that failure is not where the story ends.

Failure is a teacher.

Failure is growth.

And failure is temporary.

The French have a saying—ce n’est qu’un au revoir—which means "this is not goodbye, but until we meet again."

It resonates deeply with me because entrepreneurship, like life, is about resilience and the opportunity to begin anew.

The Reformed Entrepreneur

Today, I am not just an entrepreneur.

I am a reformed entrepreneur.

I’ve learned.

I’ve grown.

And I am determined to do things differently this time.

My experiences have shaped me, and I’m excited to share this journey of growth, resilience, and rebuilding with you.

Through ReformedEntrepreneur.com, I’ll document my path forward—sharing insights, lessons, and reflections that I hope will inspire and connect with others.

Whether you’re an aspiring entrepreneur or someone navigating the complexities of life and business, my aim is to share ideas that resonate and encourage.

Please register to receive updates when I publish new posts. I’d love to hear your thoughts, experiences, and lessons learned—so join the conversation and let’s learn together.
